"Dharma Sansthapanartham” (for the sake of establishing the primacy of the laws of eternal value) is the motto of Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, established by the Government of Chattisgarh under the Hidayatullah National University of Law, Chattisgarh, Act (Act No.10 of 2003).
HNLU offers two 5 year integrated programs, the BA LLB and the BSc LLB courses. There are 10 semesters spread over five years, with 2 semesters per year. There are compulsory core subjects, language subjects, compulsory law subjects and optional law subjects. There are also optional clinical legal courses as well as optional honours courses.
Admission

Eligibility
Students who have secured 50% aggregate marks in the 10+2 examination or its equivalent are eligible. Students who have not yet completed the qualifying exam as on July 1st of the year of admission are NOT eligible. The age limit is below 20 years of age as on July 1 of the year of admission. There are 80 seats of which 50% seats are reserved for students of Chhattisgarh state.

Admission test
Admission is on the basis of a National Entrance Test. The test aims at assessing linguistic ability, analytical skills, general knowledge, legal aptitude, legal reasoning and mathematical skills of applicants.
