The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, Patiala is a fitting testament to Revered Late Rajiv Gandhi who regarded education as an important tool to bring about social change. In order to meet the challenges of globalisation and liberalisation, a Centre for Excellence in Legal Education, RGNUL, Punjab was established at Patiala in the year 2006. RGNUL has been established by the State Legislature by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, Act, 2006 (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006). The Act has incorporated a University of Law of the national stature in the State of Punjab. RGNUL has fulfilled a long cherished dream of having a Centre of Excellence in Legal Education in the prosperous State of Punjab. RGNUL, Patiala has opened a window of opportunity to the young legal aspirants beyond the state boundaries and at  the national and international levels.

ELIGIBILITY
The candidates who have passed 10+2 examination of the Punjab School Education Board or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.
The age of the candidate must not be more than 21 years on 1 July (22 years in case of the SC/ST candidates).

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

INTAKE AND RESERVATION                                     
The total number of seats for the B.A., LL.B.(Hons.) Five Year Integrated Course shall be Eighty (80).
Division of the seats shall be as under :
General Category - (55) Seats, Schedule Castes (15%) - (12) Seats, Schedule Tribes (7 ½%) - (06) Seats, Persons with Disability (3%) - (02) Seats, Foreign Nationals - (05) Seats
